Big things are happening at Aloha Ilio Rescue,

we invite you to join us.

Dear Friends,
For years, Aloha Ilio Rescue has operated from my home - with staff and volunteers gathered around my kitchen table, we made it work. What started as a handful of dogs needing help has grown, and today, we help over 1,500 dogs a year.
And still, the need keeps growing. Hawaii Island continues to face serious challenges in animal overpopulation and neglect. We’ve built a community that steps up for animals who have no one else. But the truth is: with our limited shelter infrastructure and more dogs in need than homes available, we’ve outgrown our space.
That’s why we’re reaching out today — to ask for your help building something permanent. We’ve been gifted land and a building, and now we have a chance to create a true rescue facility: a place for healing, adoption, and community. A place that belongs to the dogs, and to this island.
If this mission speaks to you — if you believe every community deserves a place where animals are protected, healed, and given a second chance — we hope you’ll consider helping us bring this next chapter to life. Your support will help create a space that will save thousands of lives over the coming years, and change the future for animals on this island.
We welcome general donations as well as sponsorship of key elements of the new facility — such as the medical clinic, adoption lanai, or future dog park. And if naming opportunities are of interest, we’d be honored to discuss them with you personally.
